JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently hiring a Safety Coordinator for a well-established transportation and logistics partner. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and cares about creating a safer workplace for everyone — while playing a key role in a company’s day-to-day safety operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Help build and reinforce a strong safety-first culture across the organization.
  • Document incident and accident reports, gather key details, and route information to the right teams promptly.
  • Support compliance with hazardous materials regulations and proper shipping procedures.
  • Assist with safety initiatives focused on accident prevention and risk management.
  • Answer employee and driver questions about safety policies and procedures.
  • Follow up with drivers to collect missing documentation and ensure timely recordkeeping.
  • Organize investigation materials — photos, reports, witness statements, and related documents.
  • Convert paper safety records into digital formats and keep files accurate and audit-ready.
  • Maintain safety logs, tracking spreadsheets, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare onboarding and compliance packets for new vehicles joining the fleet.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Safety Department as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Comfortable at a desk and computer for extended periods; able to lift up to 15 lbs.

HOURS AND WAGES

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • $18.00 per hour, based on experience
